- Abstract
An interview with Mohamed El-Erian, chief executive officer (CEO) and co-chief information officer (co-CIO) of Pacific Investment Management Co. (PIMCO) is presented. He highlights the impact of the banking crisis on the economic growth of OECD countries. El-Erian also outlines the influence that private investors can have on bank bailouts. According to El-Erian, global economic recovery brings major challenges that must be understood including the disagreements on the fiscal reform in the U.S.
