- Title
Astroparticle physics: A multi-messenger story.
- Authors
Hartmann, Dieter H.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the IceCube detector at the South Pole which is used to find the neutrinos from Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs). It states that GRBs generate gravity waves, cosmic rays, and neutrinos. It mentions the detection of neutrinos from supernova SN 1987A in the Large Magellanic Cloud galaxy which established the extragalactic neutrino astronomy. Furthermore, the detector is a TeV-scale neutrino telescope which is used to catch neutrino signal from GRBs and other energy sources.
