- Title
Climate change: Fatter marmots on the rise.
- Authors
Visser, Marcel E.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the study conducted by Ozgul and colleagues regarding the impact of climate change on the phenology and demographic processes that affect the population numbers of yellow-bellied marmots, Marmota flaviventris. It states that the shift in hibernation mass and reproduction phenology of marmots was caused by the climate change. The author notes that forecasting the impact of future climate change on population is a challenge of climate-change ecology.
