- Abstract
The article focuses on the study about the effect of acute and sub-chronic treatment of Furadan SP50 on certain hematological parameters in blue-rock pigeon in India. The analysis of the results shows that the compound adversely affects the haemogrammic values and the leucogram of pigeons. In connection, leucogrammic picture of pigeons indicates a rise in the total leucocyte count which may be pathological leucocytosis condition brought about by pesticidal intoxication. The overall toxic effect of the pesticide shows significant alterations in the blood parameters in the acutely treated subjects.
