- Abstract
They used a self-report questionnaire to determine number of lifetime head injuries and the source of those injuries, and several self-report instruments to evaluate symptoms of depression and PTSD. Both depression and PTSD symptoms were more common among those with line-of-duty head injuries, although non-line-of-duty head injuries led to increased symptoms compared to those without a history of head injury. The analysis compared subjects with lineof-duty head injuries, non-line-of-duty head injuries and no history of head injuries.
