- Abstract
The photooxidation of rosin and its derivatives (abietic acid and rosin pentaerythritol ester) with antioxidant BHA was carried out in a polyethylene film microreactor under 254 nm UV light in an incubator at 30 °C ・ UV spectrophotometry was used to track and monitor their photooxidation process・ The effect of antioxidant BHA on photooxidation of rosin and its derivatives was investigated・ The results showed that the addition of antioxidant BHA could effectively slow down the photooxidation rate of rosin and its products ・ The antioxidant effect of antioxidant BHA was rosin > abietic acid > rosin pentaerythritol ester. The dosage of antioxidant BHA added to rosin should be less than 5% ・ The dosage of antioxidant BHA in rosin pentaerythritol ester should be between 5% and 7% ・ The dosage of antioxidant BHA added to abietic acid should be less than 7%.
