Research progress on acid production technology of sludge anaerobic fermentation.

- Abstract
The mechanism of sludge anaerobic fermentation to produce acid was described. The influencing factors of sludge anaerobic fermentation acid production were summarized, such as C/N, temperature, pH, sludge residence time and pollutants, and it was pointed out that the C/N ratio of sludge anaerobic fermentation system was 20 ~ 30,the temperature was 25 ~ 40 °C, the pH was 10, the sludge residence time was 5 ~ 10 d and the appropriate pollutant concentration was conducive to the accumulation of SC-FAs. The latest research progress of the anaerobic fermentation technology of sludge, co-fermentation and combined pretreatment, was reviewed. Both of the two technologies could significantly increase the yield of SCFAs. At last, the shortcomings of the current research were put forward, and the future research directions were prospected, in order to provide reference for maximizing the resources of sludge treatment and disposal and anaerobic digestion.
