- Title
Thymocyte development: New roles for TRPM7.
- Authors
Leavy, Olive
- Abstract
The article discusses the role of transient receptor potential melastatin related 7 (TRPM7). It states that TRPM7 is essential for the development of the embryo and in thymopoiesis. It notes that its expression by thymocytes is required for the transition of thymocytes from the double negative stage of development and for the maintenance of medullary thymic epithelial cells. The examination of Clapman and colleagues on the role of TRMP7 sin T-cell development is also discussed.
