- Abstract
Principals are the soul and key figure in leading school management and teacher's development. Professor-titled principals have presented their unique values in school management, as they can guide the development of primary and secondary schools with the culture and spirit of universities, stimulate the internal motivation of students at primary and secondary schools with their rich social resources, and innovate the talent training model with their profound academic achievements. Their success in school running follows a certain internal logic, which requires the educational ideal and aspiration as the prerequisite, leadership capability and wisdom as the key, excellent spiritual quality as the guarantee to the success. In the future, it is recommended to further improve the institutional design for the school running by professor-titled principals, for example, creating the positive social public opinion, recognizing the value of professor-titled principals, establishing a long term mechanism to ensure the smooth flow of professors from universities to schools, and building a diversified sharing platform to leverage the greater radiation role of professor-titled principals.
