- Abstract
Teachers morality and ethos are the first standard to evaluate the quality of teachers, and the core task that primary and secondary schools often strive for in the new era. There are the following problems based on the understanding of the connotation and evaluation boundary of teachers morality and ethos: firstly, there is still a utilitarian value orientation; secondly, the concept of teachers morality and ethos is not clear enough which leads to the ambiguity of evaluation standards and objects; thirdly, the evaluation process lacks effective control, and the method is simplified. The evaluation of primary and secondary school teachers morality and ethos must adhere to the correct evaluation orientation. It is necessary to embody the hierarchy of the evaluation, and transform the external drive of into the internal drive to cultivate teachers morality; to strengthen the comprehensiveness of teachers ethos evaluation and extract indicators from aspects of organizational management, teachers morality system, teachers morality education and teachers morality envi鄄 ronment; to establish a comprehensive evaluation mechanism, clarify the evaluation subject, evaluation process, and make use of the evaluation results to scientifically and effectively evaluate the individual teachers morality and the whole school ethos.
