- Abstract
The article features a former professional Brazilian football player who is diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at the age of 54 and developed debilitating freezing of gait (FOG) at the age of 60 can still pitch the ball. It provides information on his medications including levodopa, entacapone and pramipexole. It notes that an additional surge of catecholamines in the brain has been stimulated by the exhilaration of a football game.
