- Abstract
The author reflects on the underrepresentation of women in leadership roles and how women remain substantially underrepresented in leadership positions in global health. He cites chief operating officer of Facebook Sheryl Sandberg who pointed out that the choices around career for women are harder and that career choices may limit lifestyle especially the decision to have a family. He cites the need for recognition that there is a problem and for transparency around choices and decision making.
