- Title
THE SETTLEMENT OF CONTRACT NEGOTIATION DISPUTES: A BUSINESS VIEWPOINT.
- Authors
FITZPATRICK, BERNARD H.
- Abstract
In this article the author discusses settlement of contract negotiation disputes. It states that the general public takes labor disputes just as conflict in which the union demands something and never really looks the basic issues. It mentions that mine workers do not have choice in the U.S. and they have to follow the rules laid by the United Mine Workers of America. It highlights that the U.S. Congress should take steps to provide satisfactory methods for settling the disputes. It informs that labor courts and compulsory arbitration could interfere with productivity as it could not make employers win workers co-operation.
