- Authors
Chen Mo
- Abstract
The article focuses on the environment-related measures taken by various ministries in China. Surveys of various ministries in China show that each ministry has some indicators or measures dealing with the relationship between the ministry and environmental administrations. The major environment-related indicators cover energy conservation, comprehensive use of resources, new types of energy and renewable energy sources, recovery of renewable resources, water conservation in technical processes, etc. The overall plan for land use at various levels was completed in 2001 and is now being implemented. Local governments and related agencies should strictly follow the plan as regards administration and use of land resources so that the plan fully plays its role in controlling land use in a macro sense.
