Title
Sulfate supplementation of Angora goats: metabolic and mohair responses2.
Abstract
The article offers a study with Angora goats to measure the effects of S supplementation on mohair N and S yields, to estimate the dietary S requirement of Angora goats for mohair growth and to evaluate the metabolic responses in the rumen and blood to S supplementation. Topics discussed include that goats had ad libitum access to isonitrogenous diets which yielded nitrogen: sulfur ratio (N:R); and concluded that N:S ratio \is inadequate for Angora goats.
