- Abstract
An editorial is presented on the prevention of complications in Intravenous (IV) therapy and vascular access, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and addressing issues such as infiltration and extravasation. Topics discussed include the need for awareness and proper management of these complications, the launch of the National Infusion and Vascular Access Society (NIVAS) toolkit to address them, and the call for standardized practice and national reporting to reduce harm in patient care.
