- Abstract
The article focuses on the challenges facing oncology nurses in the U.S. as for the first time in the country's history, adults aged and older will outnumber children younger than 18 by 2023. Topics covered include health complications and growing comorbidities associated with population aging, the role of oncology nurses in the successful treatment of older patients with cancer, and treatment complications that can arise among older patients with cancer.
