- Abstract
The article offers information on a study on the use of soil nitrate as a component which promotes growth in exotic grass. The study used four perennial woodland fords, including Common Everlasting daisy, Nodding Chocolate Lily, and Yam Daisy, and compared their growth responses when used with soil nitrate concentrations. Results showed that native species were less responsive to soil nitrate concentrations that the exotic plants. It is inferred that exotic annuals are capable of surviving under nutrient concentrations.
