A preliminary examination of White Cypress Pine management and soil and vegetation condition.
- Authors
McHenry, Melinda Therese
- Abstract
This article outlines the research conducted under White Cypress stands in the western State Forests of Pilliga, New South Wales, Australia in 2004. It determines the impact of dense re-growth on environmental condition, describing the nutrient status of soil and floristic composition in thinned and dense re-growth stands. Information on the vegetation sampling and similarity dendrogram used to assess the relationship between White Cypress Pine density and soil condition is presented. Implications of this study that provide basis for further ecological research are discussed.
