- Abstract
The article discusses research being done on contraceptives. It references a study by S. Weir et al published in a 1994 issue of the "American Journal of Public Health." The ability of condoms alone, nonoxynol-9 suppositories alone or both methods concurrently to substantially decrease the risk of cervical gonorrheal infection is discussed. The decline in the rate of infection as the frequency of condom use rose is given.
