EPISTEME SYMPOSIUM ON GROUP AGENCY: REPLIES TO GAUS, CARIANI, SYLVAN, AND BRIGGS.
- Authors
LIST, CHRISTIAN; PETTIT, PHILIP
- Abstract
The authors respond to commentaries on their book "Group Agency: The Possibility, Design and Status of Corporate Agents." One commentary focused on the contrast between classical, universalist understandings of rationality as well as their more psychologically and evolutionarily informed rivals. Another commentary cited some proposals for comparing how the epistemic performance of different aggregation functions in relation to a given set of assumptions about the reliability of individuals.
