- Abstract
The article reports that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of Nigeria has filed charges against former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney and eight others for corrupt procurement contracts concerning a gas export plant in the Niger Delta. Albert Jack Stanley, the chief executive of Halliburton subsidiary KBR and Cheney appointee, admitted to organizing corrupt payments related to the contract. Halliburton also agreed to pay millions of dollars in plea bargain deals.
