- Abstract
The article discusses the future sales of De Beers diamond that are subject to uncertainty where production could be hit by South Africa's power problems. It is suggested that the stuttering global economy has affected the sales of the biggest diamond company, De Beers. It is suggested that the sales fell by 3% in 2007 while future sales are subject to a high level of uncertainty. According to the author, the economic condition in the US may continue to affect on the sales of the consumer diamond jewelry through the first half of the year, specifically at the lower end.
