- Abstract
The article discusses the relationship between Medieval theater and food, with information on theater terminology from the Middle Ages which corresponds to modern culinary words. Topics include an analysis of meals eaten by the sorcerers featured in the fiction work "Amadas et Ydoine" from the 13th century; the appearance of food in comic plays also known as farces written during the Middle Ages; and the social aspects of food, banquets, dinners, and dining in novels and pieces of fiction during the Medieval period.
