- Abstract
Avian zooarchaeology is a field of study that focuses on analyzing the remains of birds found in archaeological sites. Analyzing remains, such as bones, feathers, and eggs, provides important information about the ecology and history of this group, as well as about the relationship that has been established between humans and these animals over time. However, this is still an underdeveloped field in Brazil. This research note presents the preliminary results of the research project, entitled Zooarqueologia de Aves: uma revisão sistemática integrativa, developed with the aim of expanding knowledge on this topic in the Brazilian territory. Keywords: zooarchaeology; archaeo-ornithology; Brazil.
