- Abstract
An interview with James Robinson, executive director of developer Hong Kong Land (HKL), is presented. Robinson discusses the reasons why HKL decided to start building skybridges between its properties, the competing private interests that had to be dealt with as the network was extended beyond the properties owned by HKL, and the value footbridges. He explains the responsibility of HKL for coordinating security, maintenance and opening hours and tackled safety concerns during construction.
