- Abstract
This document is a response to a letter regarding an article titled "EMR Combined with CRB-65 Superior to CURB-65 in Predicting Mortality in Patients with Community-Acquired Pneumonia." The authors acknowledge the lack of a healthy control group in their study and the limitation of a small single-center cohort. However, they state that they are still collecting serum samples and recruiting healthy individuals to address these limitations in future research. The authors emphasize the importance of considering patients with asthma, allergic diseases, and pulmonary embolism when using EMR combined with CRB-65 for predicting mortality in community-acquired pneumonia patients.
