- Authors
Fabiani, José; Bork, Konrad
- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 47-year-old woman with hereditary angioedema (HAE) caused by deficiency of functionally active C1 inhibitor (C1-INH) in plasma (HAE-C1-INH) who developed acute edema blisters (AEB) on her skin swelling as a rare complication of HAE-C1-INH. Her family history revealed that her son had recurrent skin swellings, abdominal pain attacks and laryngeal edema. The article discusses AEB in patients with HAE.
