- Abstract
The spine is the most common site for metastatic deposits in osseous metastatic disease; however, this rarely occurs in the cervical spine. Cervical spinal metastases (SM) often result in severe pain and high risk of neurologic deficit. Management of cervical SM requires an integrated approach of care and multimodal treatment in order to achieve optimal patient outcomes. This case presents a pregnant breast cancer patient with extensive SM in the upper cervical spine requiring urgent surgical intervention.
