- Abstract
The performance of the proposed RAMAN-TDPCFA hybrid optical amplifier (HOA) for 400 × 10 Gbps super-dense wavelength division multiplexing system for the characteristics of gain and noise figure is evaluated. Spacing is taken up to 100 GHz among channels. Illustration is done with respect to S + C band. The best rating ever received up to our knowledge in this paper in terms of gain 35.07 dB, noise figure 3.2 dB and least variation of 1.25 dB from RAMAN-TDPCFA HOA than the other HOAs (EDFA-RAMAN, EDFA-SOA and SOA-RAMAN).
