- Abstract
The article focuses on the curriculum development and revision to continuing programs which serve the need for Spanish-speaking students at the University of South Carolina in Beaufort (USCB). It highlights the university's mission to offer students education in a collaborative learning environment that prepares them for a life of scholarship, work, and service. USCB faculty decided to adopt innovations during this critical period due to the changing demographic characteristics resulting from a Spanish-speaking population, to insure that the proposed international activities become permanently imbedded and integrated into the university's mission.
