- Title
THE PACKAGE DEAL AND MICROSOFT.
- Authors
Fulda, Joseph S.
- Abstract
Recent legal action by the US and EU governments against Microsoft for alleged anti-competitive practices neglects the fact that what the software company has done in packaging together its different products is standard practice in many areas of commercial and even personal life. Retailers, journal editors and even individuals seeking life partners offer package deals in which their most valuable products or attributes are packaged with their least valuable on a take-it-or-leave-it basis.
