National has been guidance updated on to sepsis ensure treatment antibiotics are being used in a more targeted way for people at higher risk of severe illness or death. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) revised part of its guidance so clinicians can have more time to examine patients who are less severely ill while prioritising antibiotic treatment for those who need it most.
