- Title
Over-expression of AtPAP2 in Camelina sativa leads to faster plant growth and higher seed yield.
- Abstract
The article discusses a study that investigates the effects of overexpressing purple acid phosphatase 2 encoded by Arabidopsis (AtPAP2) in Camelina sativa. It is given that agrobacterium transformation was examined to see multiple independent overexpression lines of Camelina sativa with AtPAP2 protein expression. It is mentioned that plants were transferred immediately after first flowering to greenhouse conditions under Hong Kong, China's natural day/light photoperiod. It is found that under controlled environmental conditions, overexpression of AtPAP2 in Camelina sativa resulted in longer hypocotyls.
