- Abstract
The article presents the author's narration on how a wealthy Jew in London, England had temporarily relieved the needs of the Hebrew Benevolent Society of Los Angeles in California in 1898. It states that the secretary of the society has received a message from Francis S. Samuel, which indicated his 100 dollars donation to the society for its good treatment to his son, Frank H. Samuel, while he was in Los Angeles. It notes that the society take charged of Frank's burial when he died in the city due to tuberculosis.
