- Abstract
The article discusses the commercial production of coal bed methane (CBM). The factors that affect the rate of CBM production include fracture permeability development, gas migration and geological structure. The amount of greenhouse gas emissions may be reduced and the recovery of CBM may be improved through geologic sequestration of CO2. Storing CO2 may lessen the gas emitted by industrial processes.
