- Abstract
In this article we propose to cover the courses that the historiography "mauasiana" pursues between 1925 and 1944 in the Brazil. The itinerary will carry us through the study of three authors --Alberto de Faria, Edgar de Castro Rebelo and Lídia Besouchet-, that represent the pioneering impulse in relation to the construction of the historiography respect of the "riograndense" banker. Right there it form the main outlines of the mentioned historiography -- that prefigures the historical baggage of the character -- through heterogeneous positions; while it observes the professionalization of the historical discourse. Such study allows to determine, at the same time, the evolution of the biographical gender in the "rioplatense" region, indicating the nuance that every national historiography confers to Mauá.
