The article presents author's views regarding biological facts behind immunological sex differences, their effects on immunity to infections and vaccines, and the reasons behind overlooking of sex differences in biomedical research. Topics include sexual dimorphism due to differences in male and female immunity system, immune response genes contained by X chromosomes and bacterial infections.
