- Abstract
The article reports on the changes brought in death penalties in the U.S. for mentally ill defendants in the light of Hall v. Florida court case. Topics discussed include imposition of death penalty under the eighth amendment's ban on cruel and unusual punishment; different death penalty exceptions for insane offenders and mental illness; and banning the execution of the intellectually disabled and the insane offender.
