- Abstract
The article discusses flaws in the mental or physical disability determination process to get the Social Security Disability or Social Security Insurance benefits in the U.S. Topics include the structure of the Social Security Disability benefits application process, and the roles of the Social Security Administration and an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) in entitling benefits to a claimant. An example of the uneven application of rules by the ALJ in case of fibromyalgia is also presented.
