- Abstract
The article discusses the results of a study that examined Texas Christian University faculty members' expectations and perceptions of undergraduate student research skills to help improve information literacy initiatives at the university. The faculty members surveyed viewed themselves as having the primary role in teaching research skills to the students. Focus groups identified nine core research skills that were used for the survey, including topic selection and citing sources.
