- Abstract
The article focuses on the new partial roasting process introduced by Outotec Oyj for purifying copper (Cu) and gold (Au) concentrates which are contaminated with arsenic (As), antimony (Sb), and carbon. It says that the new process vaporizes and removes impurities like As and Sb at high reaction temperature. Meanwhile, the company is operating pilot plant in Frankfurt, Germany and building an As-removing roasting furnace at the Codelco Mina Minstra Hales mine in Chile.
