- Authors
V. M., Smikh
- Abstract
The article highlights the terminological definitions of the concepts of «science», «religion», «theology», as well as concepts close to them in meaning, which can be applied in the multiple topics of correlation between science and religion. Although throughout the history of its existence, mankind has always taken interest in the relations between science and religion, and many well-known thinkers, philosophers, theologians, and scientists have been concerned with the issue of the correlation between the concepts of reason and faith/ scientific and religious, it is in our postmodern time that discussions between them have acquired new acuteness and become the most burning, being one of the most significant topics of our time. Both science and religion have undergone cardinal metamorphoses, reflected in the incomprehensible differentiations of scientific disciplines and the incredible number of new religious beliefs and denominations.
