- Authors
Hommel, Marcel
- Abstract
The author comments on various issues related to global malaria elimination. He discusses the unreliability of statistics related to malaria incidence and mortality, and notes that malaria incidence worldwide has been decreasing. The author reports that such success has helped in the advocacy for greater funding for malaria control. He discusses the possible eradication of the disease and comments on the need to define a research agenda to distinguish between control and elimination.
