- Abstract
Objective: To identify the main nursing diagnoses, patient outcomes and nursing interventions, and to validate a proposed care plan for patients on peritoneal dialysis. Methods: Cross-sectional study with 68 patients from a referral center for kidney disease, according to the steps: identification of nursing diagnoses, according to NANDA International; proposal of patient outcomes and nursing interventions according to Nursing Outcomes Classification and Nursing Interventions Classification; and, development of a care plan using expert validation. Results: Six diagnoses with frequency higher than 50% were identified; 16 patient outcomes and 35 nursing interventions were proposed. Eight patient outcomes and 21 nursing interventions were selected using the validation process conducted with specialist nurses, with very good concordance index (>0.8). Conclusion: The study identified diagnoses, select patient outcomes, and nursing interventions for clinical practice, in order to support the process of care and the knowledge of nursing taxonomies.
