Maynard, Jill L.; Bell, John E.; Johnson, Alan W.
- Abstract
The article focuses on research which examined delays in the on time delivery of cargo arriving at the U.S. Air Force's aerial ports of embarkation in the U.S. which have resulted from U.S. government policies which center on the transport and delivery of hazardous materials. A discussion of the factors which led to the development of the policy is presented. The issue of whether cargo shipper training procedures could improve on time delivery of hazardous cargo and reduce delays, known as frustration in the shipping industry, is discussed.
