- Abstract
An article is presented that reports on three impressionist prints by Camille Pissarro acquired by the Princeton University Art Museum. The pieces described are "Vegetable Market at Pontoise," an etching and drypoint, "Études," a woodblock print, and "Nude Women," a lithograph. The article discusses the rural themes of the pieces in terms of their depictions of agrarian life and its leisure, commerce, and labor. Information is also provided on Utopian ideals in Pissarro's work, as well as on printmaking, art experimentation, and nature.
