The author reflects on bridging the gap in paediatric nutrition through the development and testing of knowledge translation strategies. Topics discussed include the definition of knowledge translation, theoretical frameworks established by behavioural researchers and implementation scientists that can be used in nutrition and dietetic practice research, and the significance of qualitative research to the dietetic research toolkit.
