- Abstract
The article reports on research which was conducted in an effort to increase breastfeeding rates (at discharge) in a health care facility in Louisville, Kentucky by increasing the knowledge and attitudes of health care providers who manage the care of new mothers. Researchers used a training tool developed by the Louisville Putting Prevention to Work (LPPW) initiative. They found that the tool and the training program led to an increase in breast feeding rates among patients.
