- Abstract
The article reports that the May 2008 board meeting of the American Society for Indexing (ASI) was approved as an official ASI Special Interest Group (SIG) in the U.S. The mission of the group is to provide a discussion space where members can communicate with other members who are interested in database indexing as well as in periodical. Meanwhile, the SIG has already 42 members in the Yahoo discussion group and are working on establishing as an official group. In connection, the membership is open to all members of the ASI.
